Gap behind memory card cover door

I just replaced the memory cards in my D610. The cover door shuts flush but there is a gap behind the door that has just appeared. Photo attached. Anyone have any experience with this? Does not seem to be anything wrong with the door or hinge. Thanks.

I looked at pictures of the D610 online. Not many showed the card cover door clearly, but the few that did had what appeared to be the same gap. Maybe someone who owns a D610 will chime in.

Good call. I searched again and found a marketing photo of that side. There is a gap. Signed a bright light in and it doesn't penetrate the body.

Thanks. It's a fantastic camera.

The circled gap is normal the arrow indicate the door is completely seated. Both my D810 and D7100 are similar. If that gap was not there the door would not be able to open as far. Nothing to worry about.

Just looked at one of my D500s, and the same "Gap" is there, although it's not really a gap since the area is completely sealed. I think it just provides room for the spring mechanism to function properly.
