I bought my refurbished D7100 from Cameta about two months ago with less than 19 shutter count! It is a great camera and a huge upgrade to my D3000. Still learning how to use the camera and haven't taken it out much, but I love it and am glad I bought it.

Moving on from our various interpretations of what a healthy free market looks like, I couldn't help myself and went ahead and ordered one. It must have been one of the last ones, I ordered it on Dec 6.

I just got mine in, not a scratch on it.

I didn't know how to check shutter count, most things I see online require an upload of a jpeg. Have any of you guys used this? I don't like to upload stuff to the internet......

I just did a web search and found a site. Info is embedded in the photos you take.

Myshuttercount.com is one that people on here have used. Also some processing software will give you the count. I can't remember which ones as I have used the site I posted, but I think possibly Picassa may be one.

OK cwgrizz, I went ahead and used that website. Mine has 654 clicks.

I can't remember since I sold my other D7100, but I could have sworn when I pushed the ISO button on the back, the back monitor lit up and showed the ISO. My D750 does that, but I can't make this D7100 do it and I have been through the menus.

Is my memory shot, or does it not display on the rear?

On the ISO display, I am not sure if this is what you are wanting, but look at custom option d3. That might be what you are looking for.

You need to press the info button first to turn on the back display..

I dunno about reading the whole thing through at first.
I will have to press some buttons... :D

I have to convince myself that I have a "good copy" in the first 30 days...

To make sure you have a good copy you'll need to learn a good deal about the camera quickly. I bought mine on the 22nd. Have been visiting family over Christmas without the new "baby"! Read through a chunk of the manual this afternoon. A whole lot more to try than with my 5100. Splurged on new glass as well.

Congrats on the purchase!!!

I have a pretty good handle on it now, I think. I would also say I have a good copy!

Good to hear. Once I'm home tomorrow I'll have a chance to experiment again! Any pictures to show off?

The bulk of them so far are personal. My daughter was in a play, and I tried out brackets on exposure to get a good photo, and did center weighted/spot metering so the
camera metered off of the subjects and not the darkness of the stage curtain. Actually, using my long lens and ISO 3200 and the long lens got good shutter speeds so no blur.
I was very happy with those!

I have a crop of the moon on my tamron 70-300 that focused better than any I've tried on my D3200.
