Some images I did for a local cafe. He wanted a shot for a competition but whilst I was there, the chef made a few meals from the new menu so I photographed those too...

And the competition shot...

yes, that is a real live yabbie in the background.
The competition was for Ryvita crispbreads - the cafe had to come up with a recipe. They did yabbie, melted brie and salad leaves.

T'was the wife's birthday yesterday and in view of her role as a Girl Scout Troop Leader, we anointed her cake with a tent in a forest of candles. I had to shoot this without much regard to settings (other than turning off the flash), as the candles were many and were rapidly burning down! The candle count is most assuredly shy of her age.

Our youngest daughter celebrated her birthday a couple of weeks ago but today she will be celebrating it at her playschool. Last night we were busy baking. No bäckerei, 100 percent home grown!

We gathered for my Mom's 87th Birthday and a special guest brought these frog cupcakes. My Mom and her sisters have long had a thing for frogs, so these were just perfect.

Did dessert on the grill tonight. These are "banana boats". Just slice 'em down the middle and open 'em up. Add marshmallows, chocolate and crushed graham crackers. Warm on the grill, then serve over vanilla ice cream.

Jerk chicken. Grill roasted broccolini. Mango salad. Black beans over jasmine rice.
