It's spring break so I have time to cook a few things. This was tonight's dinner. =)

New to the camera, the lens, and LR. Any tips on how I could improve shooting the pic or processing it would be greatly appreciated! =D

(available light)

Trying something new > 6 cups of flour, 2/3 cups of honey, etc.

Recipe called for two bread pans but I thought I would try a cast iron dutch oven. 400 degrees F was a bit hot and the 5 qt. was a bit small :)

My grandmother, on my mothers side came to Canada at age 32 from Rome, Italy and her original recipe calls for browning pork ribs at the start and adding beef meatballs towards the end.

The pork sausage was an occasional treat..

Of course the tomatoes were either fresh or canned from the garden and for as long as I can remember the canned juice was store bought.

This sauce is meant to simmer for at least four hours :)

This is what goes in my Italian red sauce. I let it simmer 3 - 4 hours. I forgot to take a photo after it was finished. Next time.

Edit: Hadn't made the meatballs yet or cooked the sausage..
