Food Photography - HARSH CRITICISM WELCOME

Hi - I do food photography for restaurants. Restaurants pay me to photograph their menu food items or come up with interesting way to
present food items on their menu to display in their window. I'm trying to get better at it so I would appreciate any criticism you might have.

I am not sure how you took these but they are not good at all. It may just be that these look like you shot a photo of a photo in a window. Post your original photos so that we can tell what they really look like. Also for critique you need to limit it to one photo and include the EXIF

You're taking pictures of pictures.Can you post actual pictures that you took of the food items? These are completely washed out and awful. And, this is coming from a newbie photographer that barely knows which end of a camera is which. You wanted harsh, you got it. What equipment are you using? There is no EXIF data. Sorry, but I don't get it.

Hopefully you didn't get paid for those shots! We need to see original shots, not pictures of pictures....and include the EXIF data.

Well, the good news is....there is definitely room to improve. Are you looking for photography help or help in the presentation? I'm new to photography but honestly, my iPhone takes better pictures than those. As said earlier, post the original shots with the Exif data and let's see if someone can help you.

This is a nice community where you can grow and learn a lot and people can really help you with valuable advice.
But you have to put effort from your side too.

Think you did good. Food looks yummi, I wanna by it... at least if it was the only food available on earth :eek:
