Well people here are saying the Lightsphere is useless, while some think it is useful. I own the Lightsphere already, it's in my bag. It would be interesting to hear from people who feel positive about the Lightsphere...

Please be specific, in your opinion, in what way am I going wrong? You want me to use natural light in a darken room? You want me to use direct flash so it's closer to my lens? Please explain.

Just from this sentence alone tells me you want to hear nothing but positive feedback about the Lightsphere. You're convinced this gadget is the way to go, despite all the advice you've gotten so far from professional photographers.
