Thanks, it wasn't one of my better efforts.
I can only suggest not bothering with infinity on the moon since you can see if it is in focus and make sure the turbulence and transparency are good for the night. Other than that, maybe not shoot zoomed all of the way to 300 if your lens isn't doing well at that focal length or rent one to see if that solves your issues.
Post some more images, we'll get it figured out.
