Just wanting an opinion on my flower (pointing out where i've gone wrong)
Little on the settings.
F 5.6
55-300 lens
iso 500
expositor 1/125
Focal lenth 405 mm (Cropped sensor obviously)

Something is missing even though it is a beautiful flower. I think the lighting is wrong and for some reason my eye is not drawn to any one particular spot of interest. Could be the crop, the focus, or lack of an out of focus background. I just keep looking into the center of the image and I don't find anything that goes "pow!"

Like mike said, it is just missing something. Can't really tell. It has this feeling of un-full fillment. Like eating a war head (a awesomely sour candy) and not getting amy effect.

Maybe try not centralizing the subject and get a little more action and color into it.

Nice shot,to me the main problem is the sharp elements dont stand off from the out of focus enough,could just be the angle you chose,

Thats what I thought. There was just something about it not quite right. Thanks for your opinions. I think a macro lens or a prime maybe my next investment.
