if you posted it on a site where it can be robbed with a right click then who is the fool....should have used Zenfolio....

You do realize that you can still steal any image on the web regardless of whether the right click has been disabled right? Just hit F11 to collapse the brower (in IE) and change the screen magnification until it fits and then hit shift-prntscr and pull it into a program like Photoshop. If you set your new background, to which you will paste it, to 450 dpi, PS will interpolate the pulled in image to that resolution. So easy a second grader could do it. If someone really wants to steal your image on the web you are absolutely powerless to stop them short of removing it from the web.

And if I were you, pistnbroke, I wouldn't be so quick to call someone else here a fool before you know what you are talking about. Which in this case you clearly did not. That way it will save you from being the one who actually winds up looking like the real fool. A word to the wise.

See, now that was not so hard, now was it? A little bit of cropping in PS and you are all set.

Every time I upload an image, I think of the fact that if someone really wants it they can quite easily steal it. so I never upload full res photos. Though they are probably bigger than they should be. I also don't upload my very best stuff.

I have the addresses of a few of the thieves and I intend to mail them an invoice and a formal letter requesting payment. I have email addresses of a few others. wait and see what comes of it.

I use LightRoom 2 and it has the feature that allows you to put copyright text on the bottom of the photo. Anyone know how to alter the location and/or size of the text?

I am not familiar with Lightroom but can you add text to the image with it? If so, just size it so it is not too obtrusive and place it where you want to.

The copyright text seems to be pre formatted. Otherwise I'm not sure that you can add text onto the photo.

Reminds me of an experience I had a few years back. I ran an online truck accessory retail web site. I took pictures of my products, hosted them on my web server and displayed them on my site.

Webmasters for two other sites in different parts of the country used my images. Trouble is, they were too lazy to right click and save them to host on their own servers. They just linked via URL to my own images.

I fixed it by copying my images to new file names, updated my site. Then I replaced the 'stolen' images with some graphic porn images and they instantly displayed on their web sites

I'm sure they had some 'splanin to do for a while why porn was showing up on their web sites LOL
