Fishermans tractor

Hi folks, I've given critique so it's only fair I let others critique my photos.

Post processed for saturation and contrast.

There was a clear blue sky so I framed the tractor higher up than normal.
Now I'm thinking more blue sky and less sand would have been better even with nothing but the odd seagull.

Thanks for looking.

I think you need a better camera.

"OK not for the critique. WE have a beautiful blue sky so show it. Also I assume that is a ocean in the background? Show some of it. Overall I think you cropped the shot to tight. Is is a interesting tractor but showing more of the surroundings would make it more interesting.

Color, contrast and general quality is great. Composition could be better.

I actually like this one A LOT BETTER. More there to look at. Makes the tractor look more out of place which is the interesting part. The water in front and the windmills and ships in the background gives a lot to look at.

I live it a lot.

Thankyou!

The windmills are in the process of being erected and none are in use yet, you can see some of the bases are just stumps ready for the main shaft to be fitted.

I was expecting a comment that the tractor is too central and should have been more to the right of the frame.

In going back and looking a a lot of my pictures I have a tendency to over sharpen a lot of my photos so I am having to restrain myself now. I think we all have a tendency to overdo things occasionally.

Rexer John, you have a most interesting subject, in a great location. My feeble mind thinks that if you were in a different spot, with different light, maybe low to the ground, or up high on something you would have an even better image. I like your shot with the windmills in background...kinda an old technology/new technology thing.

Another suggestion would be to bracket three shots and use HDR to enhance the shot. Edit for reality, don't overdo, and you may have an image to hang on the wall.

The 5100 is perfect for that. Absolutely. You may have to change your sig to "My images shine, because I have imagination and a 5100!"
