Firmware update, Distortion control data file

I have a D90 and just updated the firmware. There is also a Lens Distortion Control firmware upgrade as well, v 2.005. When I download it and install it on my PC, all that shows up is a legal folder with text in it. There is supposed to be an NKLD#####.bin file as well. However this latter file does not show up. How come? Is there a way to obtain that file? The current version on the camera is L: 1.002. I wish to upgrade it to the 2.005 version. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know about any of your specifics, but a folder icon in Windows is a folder, and if you click on it, it opens to show files inside it.

Windows does not show file extensions by default, so the folder icon is the only way to know its a folder or a zip file.

The Bin file is probably in a zip file, also shown with a folder icon, but with a zipper drawn down it. Clicking that will open it too, and then you can drag the bin file inside to your memory card. Try that.
