This is from the Passion Flowers that I rescued from the ground and put into a pot! That is a really screwed up rescue, right?
Well, stay tuned. It gets better.
As I have said before, 95% of my photography is taken here at home. Why? Simple. I do not drive. Since my heart attack back in April of '08,
I have given up my drivers license because of Sudden Cardiac Arrest Syndrome. Let's all cry for me. Okay, the allotted pity time has passed. Thank
you all for your participation!
Anyway, the vast majority of my shots take place here at home and, contrary to popular belief, I do NOT live in a floral preserve. Some of you may think so simply because of all of the flower shots in my daily posts and in my gallery. I actually have to go out and carefully search the yard to find these little gems. Next are the spiders that Jen IS so fond of and others are NOT so fond of.
Right about now, most of you are wondering if I, in fact, do have a point and when the hell am I going to get to it.
Here is the point.
How do I find the desire to get out several times a day to take pictures? Every single day, rain or shine?
I ask my self ONE question every morning when I get up.
"If I knew that tomorrow I would be totally blind, what will I shoot today?"
I shoot a lot of different flowers, bugs, trees, ect. When on vacation, I shoot as much of everything as I possibly can. I do NOT shoot my wife (that just sounds weird!) because she is not likely to change much over the next few decades and I have a pretty good memory for her face.
So guys and gals. Next time you are stuck for inspiration, just try this little mental question. Even an anthill takes on a special meaning.
BTW...
With a little luck, I'll have a new Passion Flower blossom later on this week!
