F mount lens on a Z mount

Curiosity qu.estion mostly. I you mount an F-mount lens on a Z8 does the does the subject detection/ eye detection still work? Thanks

Yes it does. I used my F mount 200-500 F5.6 for the better part of a year on my Z8. Object detection worked just fine.
