EYELEAD sensor gel stick

I'm all out of wet cleaning supplies, so I will give this a shot. Usually a few shots from a rocket blower takes care of my dust problems, but it's good to have something like this just in case.

Has anyone thought that any sticky tape would remove the dust from the gel pad or must you use the ones they supply??

If even a small piece of the tape glue sticks to the gel you might transfer it to the sensor. Not very good. It might never happen, but I just wouldn't trust a tape.

And by the way, the Eyelead gel stick is absolutely great. I wouldn't use anything else on my sensors.

I saw a lot of crap on the skicky pad after the first clean, I had 2 spots visable at f36 (I will be nowhere near that f stop, lol), will do a second clean today. Far easier than the wet clean I think (not that it was hard to do either).

Has anyone thought that any sticky tape would remove the dust from the gel pad or must you use the ones they supply??

Don't risk it. Stick with their sticky clean off strips

I love it. Works great, very easy and no liquids needed. Just be sure to grab the right one. There's one specific to Sony sensors (for those with multiple systems) because the original one, which I have for my Nikon's, peels something off the sensor which required a redesign for Sony. I don't know if you can use the Sony one on others though.
