This was originally a film shot you can see it above...I split it into two single simulated hdr's one color one BW...then I combined the two for this shot...it's a little green in the arms but it's ok...

I taped over the D5000 as well...it is an old street photographer's device to help one appear more incognito...plus it is great when you are traveling...carry a Nikon or a Lowe Pro bag and you are a target...carry a janky taped up camera with a lousy strap and nobody will even bat an eye at you...

My oldest lens is also my fave lens. Its a 70-210 4-5.6 D.
It looks and feels like a pro lens. it makes todays consumer lenses look and feel like toys lol.
Some of the old lenses perform rather badly on digital, but this is not one of them, its very impressive.
It focuses realy fast. No CA problems. Sharp even wide open but the contrast needs upping in PS at full open.
Stopped down a couple of stops it a realy sharp lens though. Its a push and pull zoom of course, but I find this
faster, and you never think which way to zoom lol. What makes this lens so special to me though... Its the bokeh.
Boy is it nice. It makes every pic look great.

You should try some Fuji velvia and just have it developed with High res scan. I bet its wicked.
Can you still buy Fuji velvia in 35mm ? I know its only 50 ISO but, by heck... it holds a lot of detail.
Ive still got thousands of velvia slides. Stick them in a projector and see how sharp on a 5ft screen !
I had a CD made from one years ago. The pics were amazing. I might see if I cant find it.
I think the quality would surprise a lot of people lol

I am pretty sure they have discontinued velvia however it is still widely available...I may be wrong about the discontinued part though. My goto film of choice is either Fuji pro 160s which is a good neutral portrait type of film virtually no grain on a good scan or superia reala 100 which is just amazing stuff but also discontinued...I am one of those guys that likes slower speed film namely 100/160 I'll use 400 if I have to...hahaha I shot one last roll of Kodachrome last year....to bad that has went the way of the dodo...mama always takes the good stuff away...lol

Slide film is a whole different ballgame as I am sure you know...no forgiveness at all exposure wise...but it rocks when it is done right. The problem with E6 nowadays is it is a send off to process deal for the most part and man o man it is expensive!

mmmmm you might be intrested in this...
+ FUJICHROME Velvia 50 35mm 36 exp colour transparency film

£7.90 seems it was reintroduced :) Im not sure if its still the same, but velvia was bought process paid.
If its still the case its not bad at all. You would have to msg them and ask I guess.
I saw some idiot in the states, trying to sell it for a whopping £44 OUCH !
The link Ive sent you is even a genuine fuji lab. Should be good !

I think I got lucky today with the classifieds. Got a F-401, 50 1.8, 28 2.8 and the 70-210. I just hope I didn't pay too much. I wanted the 28 and looking at ebay prices, seems I got the whole rest for free. ;)

I'll check it out Westmill thanks...

Good deal Marcel... Yes the old mainstay Nikkors are starting to creep up there...as usual the fast ones have been high but now the better slower lenses are starting to command chili particulary AI and later...IMHO the 28/2.8 AIS is a very very remarkable lens....go read about it on mir...the engineering and physics involved is incredible.

Thats a nice set, all in one swoop hehe. If the 70-210 is the D version your laughing lol. If its not the D version, optical quality is the same
as the D though. Its just focusses only half as fast and loses distance reconition when using flash.
It also focusses realy close at the long end, with amazing bokeh. Your in for a treat lol Enjoy :)
Oh yeah... if you want to check it out....

Its nice and intresting seeing genuine pics from around the world where people live.
The lack of people seems spooky lol. Maybe they come out just at night like the zombie films lol :D

In this county you are probably not far off the mark there...lol

It was sort of weird I ran into one old man and two old ladies and I probably walked around for 30-45 minutes!
