I agree, but how many have a spare computer to run spinrite on?
I think a good majority have at least 2 pc's (even older ones they made a media center of) and a main one or 1 laptop and 1 pc. I dont need to say much about spinrite. It takes a long time but works on that drive properly. whats one day, or even two. if you go for a weekend it can be left to run without issues.
