@Wrong Way Kid - I suspect you have accessed the following site?

I found a very old site on custom picture controls and it did not mention the D3s as compatible. Have you followed the instructions to the best of your ability?

The old site is this one https://nikonpc.com/

Good luck on getting it to work

Note @Needa nailed it on picture controls, it may be the software used to generate one for the D3 the manual does indicate its possible after a certain software version

That makes sense, the snip of the manual in my post is from the D3 manual - the file type needs to to be NCP

I think the OP got that far as the correct file type was referenced - I could not find the older software on Nikon's site

Thank you all for reply, so yes NCP is picture control profile file, for example of other NCP file that I download from a website

Their NCP files work fine with me, which is gorgeous color imitating fujifilm colours.
Their NCP files work on my D3s, I do not have issue what so ever, copy it to my memory card, put back in my camera and load it, it is there..
But when I make my new NCP files on newer NX Studio, it just didnt show up when I try to load them in my D3s

I think you are narrowed down to a software issue, since Nikon "replaced" ViewNX2 (that had a separate picture control utility (best I remember)). I would recommend using the contact form on Nikon's web site to see if they have a response. Its a long shot but they may have better knowledge as to why NX Studio files are not working.

I could not find a official installer (from Nikon) for ViewNX2 to try, I am pretty sure I remember when NX Studio came out and you installed it on windows it removed the existing ViewNX2 install anyway.

The installer for Picture Control Utility 2.4.15 from 2023 is "on the web" but I don't feel comfortable recommending one of those downloads. I would see what Nikon has to say.

All the best!
