Couldn't resist another selective colour. Going to try one every Saturday if I can.


We spent this Saturday with family. Nothing like home cooked wood-fired pizza to make a Saturday night complete!

Thanks for the feedback everyone. BDH, I was thinking along the same lines as you but i'm not in front of a pc over the weekend. I actually did the last edit via Remote Desktop on a Samsung phone (not recommended). If I have time on Monday I'll have another crack at it.

Alas, I feel this is beyond my limited capabilities. This is my last attempt at this shot.

I really like the high contrast.

I'm a bit unsure about my monitor brightness so I tend to edit to my histogram. Not sure if this is giving me higher contrast than I normally would.

However you did it was good though. Gave the photo more impact. I think any less contrast it would have just been a so-so photo.

Came across this old rusted windmill. It was at the back of an old estate which has slowly been eaten away by developers building new housing.

It persists as a reminder of what used to be.

Another selective colour (I plan to do one every Saturday if I can).

I took a couple hundred photos today, but only really liked this one. I had the 70-200 lens with me and whilst it was OK, I yearned for something wider.

On the same day, we also visited a wildlife park. I know there are several animal lovers on this forum, so here are a few I particularly liked.

After a month of mono (with a splash of colour every once in a while) I felt it was time for a little full colour, HDR style!

I arrived at work this morning to be greeted by the sound of sirens and flashing lights. Before I could walk in the door, three truck-loads of firemen barge past me and into our lobby.


Turns out someone burnt their toast! A very costly exercise.

Yeah. I couldn't figure out how to delete it and it wouldn't let me leave it blank so I put tomorrow's date as a placeholder... there goes that idea!
