Well said. I shot Kodachome with various Nikons for decades until the end of Kodachrome production, when my interest in photography rapidly tapered off to almost nothing. When Nikon offered the D5100 I found a model that seemed just right and it's been great. My interest in photography has since returned full throttle. There's no way a cell phone camera would generate any enthusiasm from me -- there's just no fun in total automation.
