Don's Old Daily Dabblings

Re: Don's HDR attempts

Nice start Don! I have not been brave enough to do HDR without a tripod :)

PhotoShop lines them up with no problem. I have purposely moved the camera off to see how far it will correct. Do that much and you might have to crop the final shot though. In panoramas you don't have to be close at all. But of course the closer you are the less you have to crop but PS will handle it.

Re: Don's HDR attempts

Here are the 3 shots for the shot with the people in it. As you can see there is almost no detail in the concrete wall in the background.

Re: Don's HDR attempts

I was referring to the second one. The concrete almost looks like it's 'painted in' in post.

There was almost no light on it and it is dark mold on it in real life. Almost no way to get it and get anything else in the shot at this time of the day. The concrete was poured 175 years ago and is over a creek.

They were awesome here too I was out and about with my daughter in law and mentioned that I wish I had my camera.

Re: Don's HDR attempts

I wish I had been somewhere that had a nice foreground to go with the clouds but all I had was my front yard. I had about 4 minutes of these beautiful clouds before they went all black.

I am not trying to aggravate you but that is what I took it as and when I typed it in it didn't go anywhere. I was just trying to help you avoid a potential problem. I do like the design and think it looks very good.

I agree with Jeff, Capitalizing the "D" and "P" create some separation so the web name is memorable and it gets the customer to the site. I really like the picture too, perfect for an advertisements and "catchy" :)

Re: Don's Daily Dabblings

Had two of these in the front shrubbery about 10 feet apart. One was in the sun and facing forward. The other was facing backward and in the shadow. Got the one in the sun.

Went to a VA family picnic meet and greet with my son today. He is student worker for the University Veterans office while he is at school at the University of Alabama. Of course I carried my camera and got a few shots.

My son carried his two little dogs. They are a hit everywhere they go

And there was a police helicopter I caught landing.

And a shot of the area because I was bored.

Ran into Big Al today. Roll Tide Roll

For those who do not know what I am talking about Big Al is The University of Alabama's mascot and Roll Tide Roll refers to the nickname the Football team has "The Crimson Tide"
