Digital Photo Frames

Do any of you display photos on a digital photo frame? There are LOTS of pics I'd like to have at my desk (to remind myself why I'm here, at times) but don't want to print and frame all of those pics, so have been considering a digital photo frame. I thought to myself, "Self, surely there are discussions out there on Nikonites re: some good ones," but then again... have you ever searched for "Digital Photo Frame" on a photography forum?

Those 3 words can appear in BILLIONS of posts!!!

So here I am, asking... what have you used that works really well, and what have you used that doesn't??

Lol I can just imagine that search! Lol :) But sorry buddy, I haven't tried them myself. But it does sound interesting, as a possible future idea for me too! :)

Yep, been there done that. For my desk it would work, for my wives decor it didn't. I bought her one for Christmas or something, anyway she loved it at first but then I noticed she kept moving it around and then a few weeks later it was in the closet. She said it didn't match. I thought I was smart and bought the one that you can change the face on, well that didn't work either. She doesn't really care about technology if it isn't easy to use. Now we display pictures on screen savers and our tv via Apple TV.

But I think I might just pull it out because I had forgotten about it and you gave me a great idea. I like to display my pictures but like you dont really need to print everyone. I did print 12 in various sizes and have a collage of them on my office wall but the electronic frame would work for others.

I was pretty impressed with it, Thanks for reminding me. I would say get one, I think the one I bought was Kodak and it was maybe 8x10 in size or maybe a little smaller. They are pretty slick for what they are and most you can customize how the pictures are displayed like timing and such.

I say get one

I only wish there were larger ones out there. I would like a screen between 15-21". It would be cool to have that in my Gallery to show prints I do not have printed and framed.

I have had them in that past but was never quite happy with them. I would like on that would work wireless from my computer from my favorites folder (The folder that I use for all my finished photos that I upload to Facebook and here)

I bought one for my Mother to put on her desk at work. Pictures of nature, grand kids, etc.....I like it, she likes it...only hassle is getting it back from her to update newer photos

We have a 10" one in the living room. I had it on my desk at work. But now I don't have a desk. I update it occasionally.

Simple solution to your problem is to buy another one! Put updated photos on it and swap it out, the repeat as needed between the two frames! Lol ;)

We bought one for my mom and she has always enjoyed it. My understanding is that they are getting harder to find as people are going to tablets.

That's what I was just thinking to myself ... "I bet I could use my old iPad2 as a digital picture frame when I'm not testing iOS updates on it"... :D
