Did I Miss Something ?

When I first got my camera and in the manual it stated that the RAW files were listed as NEF. I did a software update a few weeks ago I believe it was C 1.03 and now the display shows RAW. Is this true or am I hallucinating
;). I might be !! ;) I do not mind if you say I am Nuts ! :)

If I look at the file on my cameras screen it is named DSC_1234.NEF bottom left but in the bottom right hand corner of the screen it says RAW is that what you are referring to ?
When you transfer to your pc what extension do they show ?

No, I must be going senile at an early age. It has been a very rough week, I was terminated from my job on Thursday, so I have not really been in the game for the last 2-3 days..
