Taking a DSLR to a deserted island is kinda of pointless........... as you wouldn't have electricity or a computer to even view the images.

If stranded on a desert island, I'd at least want a film camera.

So this endless supply of Chemicals and Paper and Film etc... etc... THAT is MUCH easier to over come then electricity... :D

I think what is making photography so popular these days is the ease of sharing images. If I was stranded on a desert island, I'd be all alone and would have no one to show my pictures to. So I'd rather have paper and a few pencils than a camera.

I wouldn't take a camera. I would take my acoustic guitar, 50 medium picks, 25 light picks and a bunch of extra packages of D'Addario strings. Oh yea, almost forgot. Some nail clippers as well. Can't play with long fingernails.
