Great pics. I like the tree. I always shoot branches and they never come out right.

I think I settled around f9 for the tree shot. I was trying to make it pop from the trees in the background, but also try and get as much of the tree in focus at the same time. I don't think I totally pulled it off.....but I really got so see the difference between FX and DX in the DoF department. So I still got to learn something.

Uh still cold. So again I did not roam far from the house.

And the last is just a different angle of the same tree.

I've already shoveled here more times this year than the last 5 combined.

I hear you. We are going to get hit again this weekend. It just seems to be one system after another. We have a salt shortage here and now they are just plowing roads. Makes for some exciting driving.

haha. Ya. My car doesn't do well in the snow. And after the mild past few years, I still haven't gotten a snowblower. :-( haha. Whenever we get snow now, as soon as I hear my next door neighbor fire up his snowblower, I send my wife out to start shoveling, and he always sees her and just comes over and does ours, haha.

I bit the bullet and got a subscription for Photoshop CC and the Behance Prosite thingy. So more videos and studying! Yay! Holy crap what did I get myself into?

also what are people's thoughts on Behance?

Hard to use, I did not like it at all. Dropped the CC and stayed with Zenfolio. If you don't have a copy of PhotoShop though it is worth keeping

I do not have photoshop. So I figured it would be a cheap way to test the waters. Honestly LR5 and Nik Tools has been great to me, but I want to dabble more into the manipulation aspect too.

There is a bit of a curve with Photoshop but I love it. There is just so much you can do with it. I have CS6 and Nik tools so that should keep me busy for a while.

That would be a bullet. A Winchester Ranger T 147 gr. hollow point in 9mm. Aka the dreaded Black Talon ammo. You are basically looking at the hollow section and the petals that are designed to expand on impact.

Great shot. I thought that is what it might be. I don't use hollow points with my 9mm. I do though with my 22lr. I probably would but since I got my 9mm I have just been buying whatever I can find in bulk. I only have about 500 rounds. Need to find more.

Good luck. It is rough finding ammo. Let alone the type and weights I use. I used to reload, but never saved a dime. Spent more actually. I shoot target ammo for practice...but use the same weight as my self defense ammo.
