Ok....the real day 19!

Burn Bright2.jpg

There is just something about the flicker of a flame that can be so hypnotic. I tried to capture the burning wick in these shots knowing that a macro would only be so-so. But I am still trying new things!

Day 18 from the Nikon!

And this is an effect I got buy hand holding the camera and zooming in at the same time. Pretty crazy! Only cropped a bit on the bottom and noise reduction in Dfine2. The photo was also taken at night....but i left it dark to keep the light effect from the porch light.

I like this as is. Gives an eerie feeling.

Awesome awesome awesome :) You are SO creative.

That effect shot, day 18, is amazing. I think it looks great! Would like you to straigthen it a bit, though, I know its due to your perspective, but it looks tilted.

That second flame shot, you nailed it!

Thank you Wud! Straighten the one shot....I will look into it. The flame shots gave me fits. It was really easy to lose focus when the flame shifted. But it was pretty fun at the same time.

Today though....I ran out of time. Day 21!

Ruger.jpg

I know....not creative at all. A macro of the Ruger emblem from my EDC. The diamond pattern is from the grips checkering.

Awesome shot! I love the name you chose too! This is soooo cool bud, and I think it's one of my all time favorites of your shots that I've seen! Way to go my friend! :D
This I call Blind Fire.

And it is a crop. But not a huge one.

This is actually my eye.....and this shot was pretty hard to accomplish.
But I think it was totally worth it.

thanks Bill! It was a very challenging shot being handheld. But it is all a learning experience. I am glad you like it!

Hand held? Wow that is a amazing bud! :D

Yeah. It was easier just press the shutter button and support the camera with two ands then use the timer and tripod. I guess the little kid in me couldn't sit still for the few seconds the timer took to take the photo.

Deezy you're killing me! I so want a macro after seeing all the interesting things you come up with

Just go for it! It is so much fun. And very challenging at the same time. I only have a Raynox close up lens. Clips onto my other lenses and makes the focus distance pretty close. Usually from a meter without the clip on to 6 inches and less with it on. 80 bucks. That's it for. And for the photos I am getting. It has already paid for itself.
