All of the above shots are with a (Dirty) D90. But the D610 wanted in on the action. I thought the reduced 10mp DX mode wouldn't be up to snuff against the D90. What do you think?!

they are still really the only things growing around here. But I love to photograph them. Just something about them I like.

They are great subjects. Don't complain....look great even in full harsh sunlight....what is not to love about them?! Besides, our bee population took a real hit around here, so I stopped treating my yard. Slowly I have been seeing more bees slowly making a return. I figure every flower counts right?

I haven't been taking a lot of photos lately. Been to busy up to my waist in the local rivers trying to stick some fish. Too dangerous for my Nikons. And I will not leave them in the car either.

But I do plan on keeping the D90 with the 18-105 with me more now. Now that I have 2 bodies, I don't have all my eggs in one basket!

I try. I am not a huge dry fly fisher being that I am in a warm water state. So we have no native trout. I usually tie streamers and poppers. Marabou and Arctic Fox are the main materials I use.
But the traditional drys are fun to try, and their much smaller sizes are a real challenge. Getting down to the size 24 patterns really makes my fingers ache...

Sorry for my absence all. Dealing with a dang back injury. Has pretty much sidelined me for a bit now. Hopefully things will get back to normal soon.
