Well, nothing too special today. My trumpet flower tree (or is it technically a bush?) is going thru another flowering and the sun was bouncing off this one flower so I thought I'd give it a try.

I've never been one to want to live near the ocean, except when I have a camera in my hand. I guess you can't have it both ways.

Superb shots, Dave.

I think I like this one a little better despite the horizon being smack dab in the center. I debated with myself when I was taking this, if I angle it any lower I'm photographing the edge of the cliff and any higher and I lose the beach.

Sometimes you gotta ignore the rule of thirds. I this case the cliff becomes an off center subject and just as important as where the horizon is, Excellent!

Was f22 to slow down the exposure?

Yup, wanted to get that swoosh movement of the water coming in. This exposure was .8 sec and was one of the rare times that the resulting photo matched my mental expectations of what it was I wanted it to look like. I really like the way it looks so much so that I've ordered a set of ND filters from Amazon the other day.

I was just going to ask if they made some ND's for that beast! You won't have to be concerned with diffraction.

It rained all day today so I took advantage of my 105mm macro, the rain and the recent bloom of my trumpet flower "tree".

I'm gonna have to stop looking at your wide angle shots, the budget is not ready for a 14-24...., at least not this month:)

Some amazing DoF at 3.2!
