Thank you, Ron. Him and his buddy are pretty darned skiddish about me hanging about with my camera. Most slight movements send them jetting off. Never quite in a spot where I can get close enough for a real sharp shot. At least they're landing around me now. A few weeks ago they would hardly stop by the yard at all.

you are gaining their confidence David, little by little, hang a feeder and they will almost sit on you

Thank you, Roy! Was a nice start to the day. Too bad it was a Monday. LOL!

Love the hummingbirds. They're just so darned cool. I have a couple feeders in the yard now as well. They do like to frequent this 'butterfly bush' quite a bit too. I'm pretty sure my neighbors think I'm a cook for creeping around this bush all quietly with a camera glued to my face. Ha.

OMG, what a day. Lots of "not fun" things to deal with at the office and an afternoon at the docs made for all of 5 mins for shooting today. Only managed a couple horrible shots at the eagle tree on my way through town.

I find the light area above the flower distracting David. How would it look cropped?

Can't argue with that. It was meant to be much spottier bokeh lighting in the background, but turned out too bright and blob bed together. Will check out a cropped version on the laptop later today. Doing a lot of 35/50 experimentation this week. Great to have the monthly assignments for inspiration.

You might play with it a bit more in post. It amazes me sometimes what can be done with a little adjustment here and there.
