Took Senior photos for my nephew today, and a couple other shots. We took the shots at Buffalo Trace Distillery.

The first is in one of the gardens. The Second is an old mash building on the site.

This other is taken in a nature area.

The second is a memorial to lost children... Children that died at a young age. We have two friends that have children on the memorial. It is a beautiful place, but difficult to think about.

Trying to get better with the 70-200. It is different to shoot with and getting a good focus at distance has been more challenging because of my tremors. Working on getting a more steady hold without the monopod on every shot. It is getting better. I keep working on it.

Foggy Sunrise. Ole Wives tail says for every foggy morning in October you will have snow in the winter... Going to be a snowy winter...

High Bridge Kentucky. One of the highest working Railroad trestles in the country... Actually caught a train on it today.

Last ones... When I was in High School we would go down to high bridge and you could climb out on it. There were rails and 3 foot wide walkways on both sides and between the tracks. We would walk the whole trestle. When a train came by, out in the middle, it swayed what seemed like 3 feet each way. Thankful to have survived my misspent youth :)

Cool rail captures at High Bridge, KY Danno! Thank you.

I keep an atlas of North American railroad spots I want to visit someday and just added this one. I'm assuming that it's fairly busy. Norfolk Southern's "Rat Hole" division runs north from Chattanooga, TN to Danville, KY and it's one of the busiest lines in the eastern U.S.. The line splits at Danville, with one segment running northwest to Louisville, KY and the other north through High Bridge and on to Lexington, KY and Cincinnati, OH.

That is interesting. I was not sure of those details. Thanks. Next time I will get shots from under the bridge.

this summer when i was in the spokane area it seemed like every crossing had a white b.n. Truck parked in the area and no trespassing signs up the wazoo.

Those signs are here too. But they added a fence after a college girl fell from the bridge. They had a few falls. Back in my youth.
