Overcast day until about 4:00 pm. Rested up so I could go to my daughters in Lexington for dinner. I just took a couple cloud shots waiting on her to pick me up. It was the back edge of a cloudy day...

you have your shot for today already posted, I haven't even looked at my camera, there was a nice moon as I left the house at 4am, but by the time I got to work at San Diego, no moon, still black outside at the moment, sun up in about an hour.

That is the retirement advantage

I can sit outside an wait. I looked at the moon this morning too, but I knew I was going with a friend to the lake and would be using the big lens then and I opted for the WA lens this morning.

Taylorsville Lake today. Everything was further than the Nokon 200-500 could reach clearly. It was also a bit overcast... still had fun. A friend drove me over and helped me pack things. It was a good time.

The eagles were way out.

This was cool... You can barley see the White Egret flip a fish out of the water and then the next shot it is in its beak... With a D500 I might have gotten the catch shot... But alas... I did not.
