Gave some early morning shots a try. There was some light pollution from security lights, but it was also pretty hazy. Thanks @Bill16 for the help with the tripod ball head. Everything was very solid. I will give it another try later in the year when the humidity drops off and we get some crisp night air.

I did like catching the plane fly over... that is the series of red dots.

I have seen 3 humming birds this year, and I am not fast enough to line them up in my lens and take the shot. To all the humming bird photographers my hat is off to you... I do keep trying to catch them. Hopefully my acquisition skills will improve and I will catch one or two... Until then I "endeavor to persevere"... (gotta be old to know the movie that comes from).

Try and put up a hummer feeder on your porch, once they get used to you it will be easier to shoot them.

Slow day today. Had to go to bed after church, but I got a few clouds as the storm was moving in. Sky is now black except for a small piece over Lexington to my east.

i had a nap myself Danno today after a 5 mile walk around Lake Skinner, hauling the tripod and the heat took it out of me, i need a few more of these to get back in the swing of things.

Had a full day today. Met a buddy for breakfast and caught the first shot. Was up for a bit more so I stopped at an old friends scooter shop and took some pictures. He builds a good motor. Seemed like they should be black and white.

Last is an ole' Sporty Bober and my old friends Dwight's Dresser. He is gone now, but my friend, that owns the shop, inherited Dwight's old dresser... Memories...

Beautiful land. The favorite wife and I are planning a trip to Mammoth Cave National Park in October and we are looking forward to see some beautiful countryside like this
