dangers of camera straps

They look really nice, but I wouldn't want metal clips rubbing up against my camera.

It looks like the part that actually connects to the camera is plastic to me after viewing all the different photos. However; It would be great to see these in person. I haven't seen anything quite like them locally. I was hoping someone here may have used these here.

Just ordered a Bostail from BosStraps.
I like the mounting better than my Blackrapid mount. And it frees up the tripod socket😃 Connects to my Blackrapids carabiner.

I have thought about making one of these. But I think it would cost me the same amount. And I don't know how to sew.

Thought it might be useful if I posted pix of the setup I referenced earlier...

I ordered the CarrySpeed CS-3 strap...similiar design as Black Rapid.
Due to a past injury, I can't place too much weight on my neck, so with this strap all the weight is on my shoulder instead.

The only concern is if my Meike Pro battery grip will support it.

Curious if you received your strap yet and what you thought of it???

pat, look at the cotton carrier, it's what i use. I can carry 2 cameras with not problem, long lens and a short lens. Both cameras very secure almost impossible for them
to fall out when u r in motion. I have my tripod mounts on both cameras (monofrotto quick release). I do not use a grip, so that is something you would need to look into.
