Both of them had some noise reduction in LR -a fair amount of it at that. I had shot these with a 50mm lens for the wide aperture in the tricky lighting conditions, but as well as having had the ISO cranked up to 2000/2500, they were both cropped slightly. I can go back and see if I can trace what editing was done on them specifically, but as far as I remember it was mainly noise reduction, spot removal of a few hot pixels and then dropping the saturation levels on the one on the left.

Lee,

No need for all of the details. Even with a bit of LR added, it looks like you did a great job with the shot. I've not come close to that at ISO 2000/2500 with my D90. I haven't used LR 3's noise reduction specifically yet. This encourages me to try.
