I thought for sure you be using your FX over the 7100 for a wedding. WOW so this mean your going back to DX LOL:p

The d800E gathers light more efficiently. d800e was @ 400 ISO and the D7100 640.

The d800E has a more responsive shutter button and quite a bit faster AF.

As far as everything else this D7100 is on fire! 24mp 1.5 crop + 70-200mm = high res zoom 300mm!

Doing video for a wedding today. Yet again the D7100 impresses the hell out of me!!

Other than no aperture in live view, this camera screams awesomeness! Wow!

I'm moving up to Nikon. My problem is that I cannot find the MB-D15 anywhere. It's not even available at the Nikon Store. I found a Chinese knockoff for $59 but for that price I can't believe it is as good, besides I want to have all Nikon brand equipment. Does anybody know how long it normally takes to restock an item like this or know of a dealer who has some?

The MB-D14 battery grip? The first place I checked, B&H, has them in stock... You probably mean the MB-D15, for the 7100? Yeah, those are tough to find.

Also I figured I would share this video on the reason for lack of "live view aperture control". Enjoy!

Jeff, did you ever get your MB-D15 Grip? Just received mine yesterday... It is pricey for sure but it is all quality .. Pleased with the "Beast"!

I ended up getting the Chinese knock off grips. I've used them for a couple of weeks now and they seem to work fine. I just could not find the Nikon brand and nobody seemed to be able to tell me when they would be available. I figured if they don't work I'm only out about $100. But as I said they have worked fine so far and, of course, the D7100's work great also. I bought the bodies and lenses from Crutchfield and I'm very happy with both service and product.

Glad that you got something, that it works and that you are happy with it. I have been carrying mine around with the grip and like how I seem to have such a good grip on the unit.
