I've been buying/selling on ebay for over a decade without issue. There is quite a bit of buyer protection through ebay/paypal. I was tempted to go for it anyway myself before it sold lol. Too many red flags for me on this one :)

Luckily for me it's the wrong model! Lol It would drive me nuts if it was a D600! Lol :)
Temptation can be a strong force, when it sounds like a great deal, even when you know you shouldn't! Lol :D

Yeah the item is coming from South Carolina and Roberts is in Indianapolis. Zero feedback dealer, that listing screams stay away from me. But the buyer protection has gotten much better lately.

Most camera equipment holds its value fairly well so it doesn't make much sense for me to buy off ebay. But because of the same reason I've sold many things on ebay.

I've scored a few pocketwizards by being patient and setting up listing alerts. Like a snake waiting in the rocks lol

That's true too, patience and a little homework and you can score some pretty good deals. I need to try that sometime.
