The D7100 Field Guide (D. Thomas) is good but it's exactly what it says it is, a field guide. I tend to think it's what the manual that came with the camera should have been. David Busch goes into considerably more detail about just about everything. I'd say the Dennis Thomas book is a "D7100 101" sort of read, while the David Busch books are more of a "305" sort of read. Both are very good, just different.I'm a hands on type of person BUT I also like to read books about the products that I have purchased. Was wondering if one of these would be good reading David Busch, Darrell Young or Dennis Thomas?? Thanks

Sorry... I was referring to the Nikon D7100 Guide to Digital SLR Photography by David Busch.I noticed that David Busch has a couple books on the D7100 anyone in particular?
I have the 'Mastering the Nikon D7100' by Darrell Young.
I like it and have it on my Kindle always with me.
Don't know the other books so I can't say if it's better than them.
d7100 for dummies is very good
