Looking for a D7000 with a shutter count on the lower end. Preferably body only. LMK.
I spent weeks checking prices everywhere. I found one with less than 3k clicks but it was near the price of new. I was ready to settle on refurb but went with new at the last minute. I had the money. My only doubt was that maybe I should have spent the couple hundred more for the 7100. Mine should be here in a few days and I am sure I'll be plum tickled to death anyway.
Dave, that is my only doubt.. whether I should just wait and get the 7100... I have been tossing that back & forth..

Yeah so someone who drives a 2011 Corvette needs a 2012 corvette huh? Yeah right.
Another thing...most folks who drive Vettes...don't know how to drive. Way to much car. LOL
The difference with you is that the 7000 is the same sensor as the 5100. You image quality would not change but you would get upgraded features like the commander mode. Rancher was moving up from the 3100. He will see more of an improvement.
Nikon D7000 Digital SLR Camera Body - Factory Refurbished includes Full 1 Year Warranty $739.95 They are running $700 used. so spring for the Refurb with a one year warranty. Nikon should send you one for free for this forum.
I just might - seems like a safer route to go.Just my opinion, but a D7k with a low shutter count may only be a couple of hundred dollars off a new one. Why not spring for the new body and get the one year warranty?
Be careful what you wish for you might get something like a D600 that throws oil and shutter shavings all over the sensor every 250 images...the upgrade that keeps on giving But to get back on topic...interesting that several places on the net are fresh out of used D7000 stock.
Does anyone really need a Corvette? This hobby (for those of us who are Hobbyist) is not always about need. Sometimes it is just about WANT. I am trying to get my wife to fall in love with my D5100 so I can buy the D7100. Will it make me a better photographer? NO Will I have more fun? YES
Mr Admin Guy Needs to shoot one of the newer cameras to uphold his lofty position here on Nikonites.
