Nice capture of your kids, but it seems your white balance was not set properly (picture is bluish). This could be corrected with photoshop or your favorite editor. The pup though is very nice and seems quite alive.
Nice family shot, the D7000 is a great camera have you had it long?
If not read up on it as much as you can get to know it inside out.
If you have a ipad there are some great apps out there for the D7000, if not Blue Crane digital has some good videos.
Read your manual, if you are unsure about the right white balance, set it on Auto...lol...;-).

I've had the camera since May. I'm still learning the in's and out's of the camera. It was a big step up from my D40. For post processing I usually use lightroom. The only thing I've found weird with the camera is sometimes it does have focus issues, other than that it's a great camera.
