Here's an interesting article where a pro photographer says he has to keep his shutter speed at 3x the focal length (as opposed to the old rule of 1/length) because the D800 is so sharp it makes the tiniest blur more noticeable than in the film days.

I know it is more difficult for me to achieve sharp focus with the D7100 and D90 compared with my D610 because I have tendonitis in both forearms. I can understand the need to be more careful with the D800 with its greater resolution, too. Thanks for the link! :)

There is a discussion in a French photography forum about a vibration problem with the D800 and D800E shutter. Apparently it's been noticed to even influence work done on a tripod. Seems to be some kind of internal vibe affecting random shutter speeds on quite a few specimen.

Could they expose the sensor completely, pause a beat, then have the sensor record light for only 1/8000th of a second instead of relying on the mechanical shutter to minimize the exposure? You couldn't do this with film, obviously, but if you could program such a feat in a DSLR, no shutter would be necessary at all.
