D5100 screen orientation problem.

Hi everyone

I'm a little bit baffled as to why my screen displays incorrectly (upside down) when the screen is folded flat to the camera if that makes sense. I fitted a new hinge to the camera so I know the part is a working part. And I have checked the finger mechanism and its there. It hasnt broken off.

Am I missing a trick here 🤔 iv taken a photo to try and explain what I mean. I'm truly baffled. I even thought that I could have installed the screen the hinge upside down but this isn't possible I've checked. I just dont know what's going on with it. Iv read that there are accelerometer sensors within the camera but they are working correctly when photos are taken.

Hi there. No it was doing this before I replaced the hinge. I figured that if I just replaced it with a used part I could solve the issue. But it rmains. I'm going to have another look at it today when I have a little bit of time.. but just to say its also had a new lcd board on the back of the screen at the same time as changing the hinge.
