D5100 Project

Well one more step done in my project to test all the functions in the D5100. Today it was Active D-Lighting. It actually works better than I thought it did. There is a visible difference in all the levels. I think I will leave it in Auto for a while and see how it does.
I also shot night shots last night and I shot in RAW and the color correction for the street lights was fantastic. This was the first time I had shot at night under those lights so I was not sure how good it would be.

Next project is in-camera HDR

A really big project is happening on April 30th. Rotator Cuff surgery on my shooting arm. Yikes. When I was at the doctors office I ask him if I would be able to do this (Raised my hard to my face like I was taking a picture) he said "Drinking a Beer?" I said that too but mainly shooting photographs. He said that I should be able to do that shortly after surgery.

Really great trying out all the features of the cam..
It will open up a lot of new avenues & improve photography in general..
good luck :)

This is the reason I wanted to be the moderator over the D5100 section. Gives me the opportunity to answer all the same questions I had and maybe help the new D5100 shooter.
