Some good pics in here Dave, well done. Goes to show what can be done with the 18-55 kit lens. I saw someone's insect shots using a 70-300 with an extension tube, they were great photos, I don't remember if it was Tamron or Nikon, but any lens has a learning curve to get things working right, I reckon you will work it out if you persevere with it.

Dave amazing work! I have just bought d3300 with kit lens and started to search for possibilities about it and I'm really impressed! Have been thinking for a while about macro shot, incredible job by that kit lens!
