Playing in the rain. I had an oppportuinty to try the Stryker Lightening trigger again tonight. For some strange reason it is not working. The other day I thought it was batteries, but tonight I used about 8 different ones and each did the same thing. Anyway that is another story. I used to bulb method to get these shots before the rain ran me inside. Ha!

Are you sure that's a Bird of Paradise bloom Walt? Looks a lot different then the ones we have around here.
Yes. In this part of the country, it is called a Mexican Bird of Paradise (Caesalpinnia pulcherrima) or sometimes a Red Mexican Bird of Paradise.

Wow, those are dramatic skies. Did you do something special in post? Kinda looks HDR.
Not much. I did use NIK color efex (I think that is the one) to bring out a little more detail, but the sky was pretty dramatic anyway.
