I was in Tucson for a Dr. appt. and needed to get a picture. I was looking around and found this.
A Ham Radio Receiver (Two Tube Super-Regenerative) I built when I was about eleven years old.
All from scratch and primitive metal working tools. You can tell. Ha!

Slurry Trail on Mountain

I saw a Trump-Pense Rally Bus so I raced ahead so I could stop along the hiway to get a shot.
I waited for quite awhile for it to show up. While waiting I took a shot of this truck to check on exposure.
The bus never showed up, I guess it turned off someplace.

A storm is brewing.

Neat! When I was a kid built a crystal radio and walkie talkies but they were from kit.

Neat! When I was a kid built a crystal radio and walkie talkies but they were from kit.

I did the crystal set also, but again from scratch. I helped my son build one and I couldn't seem to get it to work. That's when I discovered that one ear did not hear as well as the other. Switched the earphone to the other ear and it worked. Ha! Later I did build stuff from kits. A CB radio from a Knight Kit (I think) and some Ham radio transceivers from Heathkit.
