Birds on a wire
We went to eat in a little Pizza Place in the next town over. This little gal saw me with a camera and wanted to know what I was doing. I told her I was going to take a picture of the ceiling and then I said maybe I'll just take a picture of you. She turned and smiled. Ha!

Ham Radio Winter Field Days
One of my other hobbies. The last full weekend in January is Winter Field Day. It is a time to set up a radio station in the outdoors, using emergency power and antennas, etc. This was our camp area.
Early morning glow

The radio equipment is located in the tent where I was able to contact about 140 different stations in the 24 hour period allotted.
The wire hanging is one antenna and the pole behind the tent is the other.

I love Ham enthusiasts. My father was one when I was a kid, and at least one of the guys I work with here at the radio station is very much into it also. Good for you, Walt! Talk about a grand tradition....
