Now this is a very nice shot Dwayne. I'd give it a perfect score. Now you do have a center of interest with the light tunnel leading right at your main subject. I just wonder why you had your lens set at f16… You got lucky the deer didn't move fast cause you would had gotten a blurry shot.

Nice shot!

This is a nice image with good shade detail. The content and subject matter is rather quaint and would not really be considered original, but nice nevertheless. Reminds me of the thousands of Renaissance paintings I used to study when I was learning landscape photography.

But I'll admit, I'm a little more curious about you rather than your photos. Internet boards like this one require an almost symbiotic relationship between posters. Posters seeking critique or repeated requests for information will often repay such services in kind. Some contribute by offering their expertise and others by simply giving their opinions and others are here interacting just for fun. All of which are the very definition of symbiotic. Of course as you know, there exists another form of relationship that is just the opposite of symbiotic and that is parasitic, which doesn't work so well on internet boards like this one. Just for my own edification so I can better understand how to respond in the future, are your intentions here to simply have us evaluate your photos or are you planning on joining us in conversation and gifting us with whatever your expertise can on subjects can offer?

TIA

Thank you very much for the comments on this one !
Yes f/16 is risky, timing is everything in most of my work. But
I choose this setting to get maximum DOF with this best trade off in diffraction.
My work leans more towards the landscape side with an animal in the scene.

MF I am always glad to give back and help other with there work.

I think the paintery effect in post processing eliminates the diffraction at f16 which would have been noticable otherwise. Active D lighting certainly helped with the shadow detail, I'm not a fan of active D, but it worked great here. Nice shot!

Dwayne-

I like your website and your work, although I am curious as to why your introduction on your website is written in the 3rd person and "signed" by you?
