corrupt files on memory card. why you must use the 2nd slot for backup

When I get a corrupt file, I can usually open it, and they end up like these:

@sparky: those first two can immediately pass as "abstractions" or "psychedelic flowers"... The third one: the flowers missed their black ribbon so much!:eek:nthego:

they can pass as nice printed images on the wall. especially the 1st one and 3rd. Im able to open them as well. a few didnt let me turn it 90º upright. but now I know, I will have to look through more pictures before giving an ok that they transferred properly. I usually do but only a few just to make sure. I also transfer it to 2 hard drives before erasing. but I guess it slipped by me. so just posting this here for others to be aware. a few good pictures lost but on the whole most are saved. I shot so much anyways. close to 3000 pictures. even if I came out with 500 that would be more than enough. but im sure there will be much more useable ones.
