Compatibility NIKON FUJI

Hi all,

a colleague asked to borrow a couple of NIKON lenses from me today to test his FUJI camera, as he believes it may have a focus problem and was not sure if it was because of his lens. I was not aware that fuji also uses the NIKON bajonett, or is that with older cameras only? The other way around, do FUJI lenses fit on the NIKON? Is this a compatibility which is worth looking at when considering future lens purchases?

Would appreciate any feedback on this as I have zero experience with FUJI.

Thanks

There's at least 1 adaptor to use a Nikon lens with a FUJI camera... I'd make absolutely certain that your friend has a Nikon F mount adaptor for his Fuji before lending my lenses for that purpose... otherwise, I'd make it clear that if he "breaks it, he owns it"...;)

he doesn't use NIKON/FUJI adapters at all, he also has original NIKON lenses which screw straight on!

colleague just sent me a message, it is the Fujifilm Finepix S5 Pro, which does indeed have the NIKON F Mount! Whataya know!

Anyone know which lenses were provided as kit with this camera originally?

That camera was basically a Nikon D200... and came with a Nikon lens.

which answers the second part of your original questions regarding Fuji lenses...
