My amazing husband surprised me with a get away weekend here.... Christmas on the Potomac | Gaylord National Resort Near Washington D.C. we are doing an ice sculptor tour and well a lot of other cold weather stuff I am taking my d600 and thoughts on cold weather shooting. I know I should not change lenses until the lens has gotten acclimated to the temp of the room and not change it in the cold any other tips on lighting and such.

and I still love my D600!!

Consider the White Balance when shooting ice and snow. Read up on it. It's different than shooting regular scenes in the summer. :)

Keep spare batteries as warm as possible, as said above how colder the battery gets , the less shots you will get out of it.

So wrap a towl orsomething around you're spares ;),

The batteries in the camera (and grip) will just get cold, nothing to do about it I guess ;)
