I had an early Christmas this year as well when I upgraded from a D3100 to the D7000. Last year I bought that same lens and have been very happy with it.

You know that lens is just a gateway lens. Next a macro, then a wide angle zoom. Next comes the Sb-700 flash and then another. Next thing you know you have a full blown NAS adiction.

Thanks, I went out earlier and tried it out. I'll post something later. Yea that 50mm is looking good!:)

Oh thats a nice upgrade. I bet that made you happy Dave. Glad to hear everyone seems to like this lens. Makes me feel like I made a good decision.
